Let's make this year even better!

What is Qurbani?

Qurbani is the sacred act of sacrificing an animal during Eid al-Adha, commemorating Prophet Ibrahim's (AS) unwavering devotion. It's a profound expression of obedience and a means to support those in need.

Important Rules for Qurbani

Performing Qurbani draws us closer to Allah (SWT) by embodying the spirit of giving. It calls on those you are fortunate to help vulnerable communities that need nourishment. With your help, we help distribute Qurbani across the world, including regions like Gaza, Somalia, and Sudan.

  • 1. Animal Requirements:
The animal must be healthy, disease-free, and of the required age. The sacrifice should be done respectfully with a sharp knife ensuring no unnecessary suffering.
  • 2. Timing:
Qurbani should be performed between the 10th and 12th days of Dhul Hijjah, preferably right after the Eid prayer.
  • 3. Meat Distribution:
The meat should be shared between family, friends, and the needy, divided into three parts: one-third for the donor, one-third for relatives and friends, and one-third for the poor.

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
"Verily Allah, the Exalted, is pure and accepts only that which is pure. "
[Sahih Muslim]
